Built to connect Rome to Gaul, the Via Julia Augusta runs along a narrow coastal strip through the 4 municipalities of Menton, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Beausoleil and La Turbie. For nearly two years, the French Riviera Community has been working on highlighting the route of the Via Julia Augusta and the work of historian and archaeologist Christine Didier has allowed to retrace this Roman way.
